Light Monorail and TZ Bridge: You do not even need a train. It would seem logical to join other advanced nations by putting an economical light monorail (in some areas it could be raised too) associated to the new TZ Bridge Project. This running from Haverstraw with stops at other towns like Congers / Valley Cottage (Palisades Mall stop) before crossing the new TZ Bridge. It would than allow transfer to metro north and it could further be done in conjunction with the city of White Plains / maybe Tarrytown in particular. This would be a favorable project.

Great visual and reminder of the amazing history here in Haverstraw. Love running by the Treason Site on the bike trail - inspired me to read a great bio on Major Andre. Can anyone recommend a good read on Hopper?

These articles have been popping up a dime a dozen. I don't necessarily want to see Newburgh labeled as the next "Hipsturbia", rather I'd love to see an article written about the hard work that is being done by everyday John Q to make the City better-recognize some of those efforts. That is the kind of article I'd like to see written about Newburgh.

[...] “Welcome to hipsturbia,” indeed. Ms. Alison Bernstein, a realtor highlighted in the article, discusses a “mass exodus” of hipsters from Brooklyn to towns like the Hudson River towns, Montclair, New Jersey and Larchmont in eastern Westchester. Again, these towns have none of the characteristics that originally made Brooklyn attractive to the Creative Class. The only similarity is that they are “sprawl free” and “not very big-box retail-y, not strip-mall-y,” says Bernstein. Yet, these towns contain very little demographic diversity. Are these wealthy Brooklynites selling out, or in other words, committing hipster suicide by succumbing to a Cheeverian nightmare? In a word, yes – but it doesn’t have to be this way. Just look westward beneath the peak of High Tor. [...]
