I believe there is already an abundance of affordable housing within the Village confines. We need many of the older homes restored, and some of them should honestly be returned to single-family use. If we are going to build affordable housing, much of it should be allocated to firemen, nurses, and artists. I believe if we incorporate artist housing, and even, perhaps, student housing, we can really create a vibrant downtown and a better market for the Village’s stores and restaurants.
