Looking for something to do during those cold December days? You don’t have to drive far to have fun this month! Here are some things that you can do in the Lower Hudson Valley this winter to beat the cold and short days!


Have a Blast in Haverstraw, NY!

Enjoy a scenic 10-minute ferry ride across the widest point of the Hudson River from Ossining to Haverstraw, and stay a while! Haverstraw has been upping its game with holiday festivities this winter, from candy cane making demonstrations at Lucas Candies, New York’s oldest chocolate shop, carols and town park tree and candle lightings!

Donate a toy and take a FREE photo with Santa!

‘Tis the season of giving, so why not donate a toy or two at the Toys for Tots event at Northern Riverview Healthcare Center in Haverstraw. If you donate a toy, you get to take a FREE photo with Santa! Plus there will also be a marketplace with food, sounds like a win-win-win.
